This article provides an overview of how to deactivate and delete customer accounts.
Overview
Deactivating or deleting a customer account on the Vonigo platform holds significant importance for managing your business efficiently and maintaining data accuracy. This process ensures that you can effectively control user access, protect sensitive information, and streamline your customer database, which ultimately contributes to better data management and security.
Deactivate an Account
Deactivating an account provides a way to differentiate between active accounts that you are currently engaged with and inactive ones that are no longer in use. When an account is deactivated, it remains visible and accessible to users, but its status changes from active to inactive.
Note:
Deactivating an account allows for the potential reactivation of the account in the future. It is advisable to close any open Work Orders, Invoices, and Payments associated with the selected account before proceeding with deactivation.
To deactivate an account:
- On the main navigation menu, click Accounts.
- Select the account you want to deactivate.
- It will prompt you to the account details interface.
Note:
Prior to proceeding with the deactivation process, please make sure that any open work orders, invoices, and payments have been appropriately closed or canceled as needed.
- Click Deactivation under the ACTIONS menu.
- A prompt box will appear, click OK to confirm.
- The account will be deactivated.
Delete an Account
Deleting an Account removes its visibility and accessibility for users via the Accounts tab. However, please note that activities tied to the Account, such as Work Orders and Invoices, are not erased and remain accessible. To delete an account:

Deleting an account is an irreversible action; once deleted, the account cannot be recovered.
- On the main navigation menu, click Accounts.
- Select the account you want to delete.
- It will prompt you to the account details interface.
- Click Delete under the ACTIONS menu.
- A prompt box will appear, click OK to confirm.
- The account record will be deleted.
