Security - License Types

This article will walk you through the different license types, explaining each of them one by one.

Overview
Licenses tell users what they have access to in the application. This includes details such as what devices they can log in on, how many of them, and which features they can use. This allows the users to decide on which license to get, if any, before using the application.
Accessing Licenses
To access licenses:

Click Setup from the left navigation menu.

Click User. A drop-down will appear.

Under User Security, click on User License Types.

There are three types of licenses. Please select one of them for details, as marked by the red arrows below.

A new page will open up called Edit License Type.

Fill in the necessary information for your License Type and Description.

Click on Update after you have finished.
License Type |
This is to specify which type of license you are accessing. |
Description |
This is to let the users know about the terms and conditions of the license mentioned. |
Types of Licenses
Here are the different license types and their descriptions:
Types of Licenses | Description |
Desktop License |
This gives the user the most diverse access to all the application's functionalities on both desktop and mobile versions. |
Mobile License |
This gives the user the same access to the application's functionalities on just the mobile app. |
No License |
This gives the user limited access to the application using only a desktop device. |
Desktop License
Stated here are the extents of access for the Desktop license:

Ability to access the application using a desktop device.

Ability to access the application using a mobile device.
-
Ability to log in simultaneously using both the mobile application and the desktop web browser without being signed out.
-
No access to API.
-
Flexible permissions range from very restrictive to full administrative.
Mobile License
Stated here are the extents of access for the Mobile license:

Ability to access the application using a mobile application or mobile browser using either Android or iOS devices (including iPad 12.9" and Android multi-tablets).
-
Ability to access the application on devices of no more than 800px in width, on devices other than iOS or Android devices.
-
No access to Franchise Setup.
-
No access to Corporate Tab.
-
No access To Global Setup.
-
No access to Call Module.
-
No access to Reports.
-
No access to API.
No License
Stated here are the extents of access for those with no license:

Limited access to the application using a desktop device.
-
No access to Franchise Setup.
-
No access to Corporate Tab.
-
No access To Global Setup.
-
No access to Call Module.
-
No access to Reports.
-
No access to API.
Edit License Type
To edit the license type:

Follow the steps to access the license types.

Click any license type.
-
A new page will open up called Edit License Type.

Fill in the necessary information for your License Type and Description.

Click on Update after you have finished.
Note: You can only edit the License Type's Descriptions.

Add License Type
You can add other license types besides the one mentioned above. To add another license type, please get in touch with the Vonigo Customer Success Team.
Type of Licenses
Apart from the three generally used licensing types, you can add two more license types.
API License
Stated here are the extents of access for the API license:

Ability to access the application using a desktop device.

Ability to access the application using a mobile device.
