This article provides how to edit a work order's recurrence. Additionally, this article will demonstrate how to adjust the frequency and date range of a scheduling recurrence work order.

Overview
The recurring configuration of a work order can be modified. The configuration is accessible in the recurrence's information section. You can modify the date range and frequency of a scheduling recurrence in the recurrence details section. Several default configurations, on the other hand, are not configurable. The following are the default configurations for a work order: Client Information, Original Work Order, Route, and Charges.
Editing A Recurrence
A work order's recurrence can be modified in three ways:
Editing A Recurrence From A Schedule
To edit a recurrence from a schedule:

On the Home Page, click the Schedule under the Home section.

Click on the selected Work Order that you want to modify.

A new small window will pop out.

Click the Edit Recurrence.

By clicking Edit Recurrence, it will open up Recurrence Details.
Editing A Recurrence From An Open Work Order
A Recurrence is a part of the Work Order; if the Work Order contains a recurrence, the Work Order will include a Recurrence statement at the top. The statement indicates how frequently and how many times the Work Order is repeated on the schedule. You can view Recurrence details by opening a Work Order that contains a Recurrence. To edit a recurrence from an open work order:

Click on the desired Work Orders.

Click the Recurrence Statement.

By clicking the Recurrence Statement, it will open a Recurrence Details to edit.
Editing A Recurrence From An Account
A Client Account that is associated with a Recurrence can be used to view and change all of the recurring events associated with the account. To edit a Recurrence from within an account, follow these steps:

Click Account.

Select the desired Account to edit a Recurrence.

In an Account section, scroll down to a Recurrence.

Click the Recurrence to expand the section.

Click on a Recurrence.

By Clicking on a Recurrence, it will open up Recurrence Details.
Editing Recurrence Details
This section will discuss the Recurrence Details configuration property. This aids in the editing of a Recurrence.
The Recurrence Note Dialog Notification
This Notification is located at the top of the details for the recurrence. This notification displays a list of all work orders that will be impacted by the editing of a Recurrence. The notification generally states “Please note that only work orders that are not completed, not invoiced and their schedule dates haven’t been customized will be affected.“
Recurrence Details
The configuration property of Recurrence. Although you can choose a Route here, the remaining information is associated with the base Work Order and cannot be modified.
Configuration Property | Description |
Client | The Client account is associated with the recurring Work Orders. |
Work Order | The identifier for the original Work Orders for which the recurrence was to be established. |
Route | This section is to select a route of your choice. It cannot be changed once the recurrence is created. |
Start Time | The Recurrence Work Order start time. |
End Time | The Recurrence Work Order end time. |
Recurrence Pattern
This section is to select the frequency with which the Work Order will be repeated on the Schedule. Select an option and enter further information in the type field menu.
Daily
Set the Recurrence on a daily basis.

Enter a number in the middle in the type field menu, or you can click + to add a number, click - to subtract a number.
Weekly
Set the Recurrence on a weekly basis.

Enter a number in the middle in the type field menu, or you can click + to add a number, click - to subtract a number.

Check on the desired days of the week.
Monthly
Set the Recurrence on a monthly basis.

Enter a number in the middle in the type field menu, or you can click + to add a number, click - to subtract a number.

Each: Enter how many days are counted in a month.

On the: Select from the drop-down list menu which weekday of the month.
Yearly
Set the Recurrence on a yearly basis.

Enter a number in the middle in the type field menu, or you can click + to add a number, click - to subtract a number.

On the: Select from the drop-down list menu which weekday and month of the year.
Recurrence Range
To specify a Start Date and End date for Recurring Work Orders.
Start Date
To specify the Star Date of the Recurrence:

You can enter through the Type Field (MM/DD/YYYY).

Click the calendar symbol to choose a date from.
Note: You can choose a Past Date for the Start Date. This is permissible if the date falls within the last two months (no more than 2 months prior to the current date).
End Date
To specify the End Date of the Recurrence:
Configuration Property | Description |
No End Date | If you check this, the Work Order will be generated continually by the system, without any limitation. |
Ends After | This section is to enter a Max number for the recurrence to be generated by the system. It ends after the recurrence met the Max Number. |
Ends By | This section is to enter a date for the recurrence to end. You can enter through the type field(MM/DD/YYYY), or you can click the Calendar symbol to choose a date from. |
Editing A Recurring Work Order
It is possible to edit a Work Order that is related to a Recurrence. To edit a Recurring Work Order:

Click on the Recurring Work Orders.

Edit or Update any of the Information about the Recurring Work Order.

Click Update, to save the updated information.
If an update or edit is performed on an uncompleted recurring Work Order, a warning message is displayed, allowing the user to opt to update the recurring scope.
Note: If no warning message appears when editing a Recurring Work Order, the Recurring Work Order may have been altered before or the Recurrence associated with the Recurring Work Order may be broken. Please ensure that the Recurring Work Order contains the Recurrence details at the top.

The Update Scope mentioned above also has an effect on the Recurrence Scope to which the Work Order is tied. The Recurrence Scope is determined by the modifications made to the uncompleted Recurring Work Order. The following table summarizes the Recurrence Scopes that are impacted by the Update Scope if any modifications are made to the uncompleted Recurring Work Order:
Scope | Description |

isRecurrenceCustomSchedule | Date and time or schedule route on Recurring Work Order are modified. |
isRecurrenceCustomCharge | Charges and tips on Recurring Work Order are modified. |
Once the Non-completed Recurring Work Order has been modified, a notification will appear at the top of the Work Order section. The notification will show what has been modified within the Work Order.
