Overview
Revenue and Tip Allocation is a feature that helps you break down revenue and tip amounts against each of the crew members assigned to the work orders for the entire job. By default, trip and revenue breakdown will be distributed equally among the crew members assigned, proportionally time allocated to the work orders with rounding calculation extra assigned random crew member (i.e., if 3 employees will be distributing $10 of tips, the first employee will receive $3.33, the second $3,33, and the last one will receive $3,34).

How It Works
To understand this feature, let’s look at a real-world example using Zees Franchise, which offers Junkluggers services.
Many Junkluggers jobs involve multiple trucks, and each truck has its own crew. The total job revenue needs to be divided between the trucks, and then automatically split among the crews on each truck. This is all done directly within the application interface.
Example:
-
A job uses 2 trucks (2 separate work orders).
-
Each truck has 2 crew members.
-
The total job revenue is $1,000.
-
An admin allocates $300 to Truck 1 and $700 to Truck 2.
The system will then automatically split the revenue:
- Truck 1: 2 crews → $150 each ($300 ÷ 2)
- Truck 2: 2 crews → $350 each ($700 ÷ 2)
Key Features:
- The system ensures that truck allocations don’t exceed the total job revenue.
- Users can manually adjust truck-level allocations based on factors like time on-site or amount of load.
- Revenue allocations can be edited later if needed.
- Franchisees can manage the allocations, while corporate can view and override them if necessary.
